Baller jlittle Posted August 15, 2013 Baller Share Posted August 15, 2013 @Wish nope. Go read @ShaneH post at 1:09pm. you will get bumped to M4 after this week. Same with your daughter.
Baller_ MISkier Posted August 15, 2013 Baller_ Share Posted August 15, 2013 2 of those 3 guys are overall skiers. Don't know what their ranking was overall, but that could be it. The 3rd guy has his average right on the bubble with a score of 2.5 at 35. It might be that 2.5 at 35 score that did it. I think I have a lot more rules reading to do. The worst slalom equipment I own is between my ears.
Baller ForrestGump Posted August 15, 2013 Baller Share Posted August 15, 2013 @Wish You turned 45 in Feb of 13. So you will ski M4 for 14, meaning next week.
Baller ForrestGump Posted August 15, 2013 Baller Share Posted August 15, 2013 @alex38 I went and looked in M3 and all the skiers I looked at were either overall skiers or they had skied better than the cutoff average after 7/15 and before nationals. Baller alex38 Posted August 15, 2013 Baller Share Posted August 15, 2013 Another (dumb) question is, how and when does that line or score get locked in and how do you know what it is? Obviously if I got off my ass and skied better I wouldn't be concerned with this :)
Baller alex38 Posted August 15, 2013 Baller Share Posted August 15, 2013 So cutoff was 2.5@35?
Baller_ MISkier Posted August 15, 2013 Baller_ Share Posted August 15, 2013 Nope. The cutoff was 93, so that 92.50 didn't do it. The worst slalom equipment I own is between my ears.
Baller_ MISkier Posted August 15, 2013 Baller_ Share Posted August 15, 2013 Well, actually, I don't know what the cutoff was on 7/15. If it was 92.50 (or less) on 7/15, then his 92.50 score is it. He got that score on 8/10 - just in time. The worst slalom equipment I own is between my ears.
Baller ForrestGump Posted August 15, 2013 Baller Share Posted August 15, 2013 M3 cutoff was 93. You can know what it is throughout the ski year by looking at the ranking list on the usawaterski website. Whoever is the lowest skier in Level 8, is the bubble spot for nationals at any time. Baller Chef23 Posted August 15, 2013 Baller Share Posted August 15, 2013 @alex38 one of the guys that is on the registration list online is not qualified to ski and isn't skiing Nationals I talked to him at the site yesterday. He may have registered when he thought he had a chance to get in. Even if you register when you go to the site they won't let you ski if you don't meet the registration criteria. Baller alex38 Posted August 16, 2013 Baller Share Posted August 16, 2013 @Chef23 thank you for clarifying that! But now I feel bad I even asked cuz I know him very well and skied many tournaments with him! He is an awesome, awesome guy, as nice as they come, I'm bummed. Haven't talked to him in an age but just texted him. Thank you again.
PJ
@ShaneH you can also choose your region or nationals from the tournament qualification filter drop-down. then you get an extra column in the rankings that says if you are qualified or not. clicking that column will display the current COA.
