Klundell
Anyone who has skied with @tbrenchley knows it is always a good show. But this is just pure athleticism on a ski.
tbrenchley
and that my friends is a true 1/4 buoy score ;)

Baller ForrestGump Posted July 17, 2013 Baller Share Posted July 17, 2013 That 2 ball was a Mike Kjallander slam dunk.
Baller_ Bruce_Butterfield Posted July 17, 2013 Baller_ Share Posted July 17, 2013 I thought only lefties slammed like that! And yes, that is a rare 1/4 buoy score. If it was easy, they would call it Wakeboarding
Baller MattP Posted July 17, 2013 Baller Share Posted July 17, 2013 @horton looks like someone else is trying to become a bigger ball of spray than you. That's some awesome scrapping!
Waternut
That's spectacular! Handle almost came in the boat though...haha
Baller A_B Posted July 17, 2013 Baller Share Posted July 17, 2013 I skied with a guy like that a while ago. Everyone in the boat stayed on their toes looking for handles flying into us. Crazy stuff!
Chef23
I watched Jamie B slide out somewhat similar to that last year at 5 ball but hang on and get up and ski away. It was one of the most unbelievable things I have seen on the water.
Baller BG1 Posted July 17, 2013 Baller Share Posted July 17, 2013 What a tremendous effort. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone earn 5.25 buoys more than that! It is nothing short of a shame that his score is 0 for the pass. He missed the gates.
Klundell
@Chef23 I watched @tbrenchley do that in the last tournament and get the ski back in the water in time to pick up the extra half buoy. He does it all the time in practice. I'll have to get it on video and post it.

Texas6
That two ball was ridiculous, and the three ball was almost as incredible as two!!! That's some scrappy, determined, practice skiing right there. I don't know @tbrenchley but given the heart he skis with, Im confident we'd get along

Baller Wish Posted July 17, 2013 Baller Share Posted July 17, 2013 Don't think men's 4 is any break. I fall there after nationals and sheeeeez those guys have some huge averages and theres lots of them. Hmmmmmmm? Maybe by men's 8. Or start scrapping my ars off like @tbrenchely. That was amazing to watch.
Baller Skoot1123 Posted July 17, 2013 Baller Share Posted July 17, 2013 @tbrenchley - do you put on clinics? Because you sure just put one on! That's some sweet stuff right there!
Baller Than_Bogan Posted July 17, 2013 Baller Share Posted July 17, 2013 @chef23 I forgot about that! That was awesome. Iirc, Jamie slid around for a bit and then got back on the ski and cut back in for the full 5. He was grumpy that he didn't run the -39, but the rest of us were in awe. If I tried any of these tricks, my season would be over.
Klundell
@horton he is nipping at my heals. He ran 2@39 in our last tournament I can't have him beating me. The truth is @tbrenchley understands skiing as well as anyone I know and he is a much better skier then this video shows. But he can scrap with the best of them. Baller A_B Posted July 17, 2013 Baller Share Posted July 17, 2013 @tbrenchley, I would recommend wearing a helmet, using arm guard, bubble buoys, extended shock tube, breakaway bindings, and for sure, don't let your insurance agent see this video! Brady
@AB I definitely wouldn't let his chiropractor see this either!!!!!! I wonder who that is? :) I just keep watching this over and over and I can't believe @tbrenchley pulled out of two. That is unfriggin believable!!!!
tbrenchley
@Brady I would assume you know who my chiropractor is...he's the one that was driving and posted this video. Oh and you might see a follow up video because I just had another scrapping 38 where I might have been doing a backslide for even longer. People on the dock thought I was going to hit it haha

Members jcamp
All I know is that I'd love to ski with this guy any day of the week. The rush of watching him might be even more fun that actually skiing.
tbrenchley
@skoot1123 Here is another video clinic @jcamp come on over and ski sometime @horton I'm doing exactly what @klundell is telling me to do...should I find a different coach? haha Apparently I've perfected the backslide and scrapping out way more buoys than I deserve....this is what happened the next day at the tournament...I stopped sliding about 30 feet from the dock
tbrenchley
oh and ps @ntx the first crash probably didn't count since it was in practice so I did it in a tournament...class c so it barely counts I guess but I have regionals next week that I'll try and get it done in too ;)
Baller jimbrake Posted July 18, 2013 Baller Share Posted July 18, 2013 He should rotate his head and shoulders more at the finish of the turn. He needs more load. Seriously, I hope that guy has a handle guard of some sort on his handle. They were made for him.

tbrenchley
I'm pretty sure everyone noticed I missed the gates but the video wasn't posted as a clinic for how to navigate the gates properly
Brady
@Taperflex I didn't notice he missed the gate, because I was too busy picking my jaw up from off the floor at seeing just how much balls and guts @tbrenchley exhibited as he ran that pass! The dude was scrapping from the onset and like he mentioned above, the thread was about athletecism and making his ski perform like a stratovarius and not about gates. Just my two cents.
