Baller mbabiash Posted February 28, 2013 Baller Share Posted February 28, 2013 Has anyone ever used the reflex front with a rs1/strada rear binding. My rs1s are shot and thinking about a new setup. My rear rs1 always releases but the front boot is less reliable. Matt
Baller Gloersen Posted February 28, 2013 Baller Share Posted February 28, 2013 Yes. So long as the rear Strada not laced too tightly. Used that setup for a season & it was decent. It is somewhat difficult to get the rear toe close enough to the front heal due to the bulk of the Strada shell and the Silveretta release mechanism of the Reflex. Also you may find the heal coming up in the Strada liner during a pass & not settling back. Consider going to a rear Wiley. The wraps can be modified to come down along each side of the ankle instead of crossing behind the Achilles tendon allowing a clean release and something a bit more "secure" then a RTP. Baller Kelvin Posted March 1, 2013 Baller Share Posted March 1, 2013 I have a reflex front with a Radar Vector rear boot. I don't tighten the laces very tight on the rear. It's an open toe so the Strada issues aren't a factor.
