Baller oneski Posted January 20, 2013 Baller Share Posted January 20, 2013 I'll be in Orlando next Monday through Thursday was was looking to ski a few sets. Any suggestions on ski schools? I was thinking about Matt Rini or Chris Rossi (I don't know where Chris's lake is and can't find a website for him). Drew Ross was another possibility, but he may be a bit far away for me. Baller lcarnes Posted January 20, 2013 Baller Share Posted January 20, 2013 Rini Travers Ross Degasperi (at the same site as Jason Seels I think. Any of the above are great places/great coaches. Travers may already be full. Not sure if Rossi still teaching at the 3 lake site. Lots of wakeboard action there.
Baller_ Wish Posted January 20, 2013 Baller_ Share Posted January 20, 2013 Rossi was coaching there less then a yr ago. There's one lake for boarders and 2 for slalom I believe.
Baller Skoot1123 Posted January 20, 2013 Baller Share Posted January 20, 2013 Give the Wilson Bros a jingle. Super nice and great coaching!
Baller ForrestGump Posted January 21, 2013 Baller Share Posted January 21, 2013 I'd be hard pressed not to schedule some time with @Mapple while there, if it were me.
Baller Edbrazil Posted January 21, 2013 Baller Share Posted January 21, 2013 If you're willing to go a bit West, there's Scot and Kyle at Liquid, and Lucky Lowe at another lake nearby. Also good for making the pilgrimage to the Hall of Fame. If you go nearly to Tampa, there's McCormicks. With a cableski now. But, there are plenty of opportunities around Orlando. Baller rq0013 Posted January 21, 2013 Baller Share Posted January 21, 2013 I would say definitely call the Wilson Bros, Brooks and KC are excellent coaches and are alot of fun. I think Brooks is in South Africa right now again, but KC might be available.
Baller MattP Posted January 21, 2013 Baller Share Posted January 21, 2013 It may be hard to get KC too he is in school these days but its worth a try.
Baller_ Jody_Seal Posted January 21, 2013 Baller_ Share Posted January 21, 2013 Matt Rini 10 min from Airport off the Greenway. Cant go wrong With Brooks and KC. Travers an hour away up the turnpike. Liquid is about 45min from Orlando on west I-4, Scott Ellis and Kyle Eade.
Baller 6balls Posted January 21, 2013 Baller Share Posted January 21, 2013 Lots of good options...I think I'm with @shane, though, in seeing @mapple. Not only for the lesson but the offer to help dial in your ski and the chance to demo a Mapple ski.

Mapple
I am not sure this is the right thing to do on a forum, but feel free to inform me if i am wrong! Mapple is available for coaching. We have a private site, Nautique 200's and you can request any skier or coach on our team. We do not care what ski you are on. We want to help you be better. Baller swc5150 Posted January 21, 2013 Baller Share Posted January 21, 2013 If it were me, I'd have to go Mapple. I may be biased, however, as Andy has been a slalom hero of mine since I used to watch ESPN's "Hot Tuesday Nights" back in the 80's.
Baller oneski Posted January 21, 2013 Author Baller Share Posted January 21, 2013 I set it up to ski a set on Monday with Mr. Mapple in the boat....who, in my book, is the greatest slalom skier of all time. I am totally stoked!
