Baller addkerr Posted January 18, 2013 Baller Share Posted January 18, 2013 Simple, if you have decided what do you use + or no +.
Baller dave2ball Posted January 18, 2013 Baller Share Posted January 18, 2013 Have not used the plus enough to make an informed opinion about the plus.
Baller Gloersen Posted January 19, 2013 Baller Share Posted January 19, 2013 @BillGladding flashed the chip to RevR. Skied 1 pass at C1+, knew it wasn't for me; too harsh, could probably adapt with greater effort, but doubt it would yield greater space at 1B or 2B, nor greater gate consistency. It may be heavier skiers whom preferred earlier versions of ZO will enjoy "+". C1 "normal" feels like the throttle is in the handle; & easier to create a rhythm. Baller MattP Posted January 19, 2013 Baller Share Posted January 19, 2013 It came out after our boat went out for the season, but it is loaded now. Will I use it? Nope I dont hit the boat hard enough.
Baller ForrestGump Posted January 19, 2013 Baller Share Posted January 19, 2013 I like the gate speed of +. I can get used to the pull in the course.
Baller_ RichardDoane Posted January 19, 2013 Baller_ Share Posted January 19, 2013 I've been on A1+ since the update in November, liking the gate speed and 1 ball feel
Baller addkerr Posted January 19, 2013 Author Baller Share Posted January 19, 2013 Must say i can take it or leave it really. On + setting I ran passes I shouldn't have run from the start I had, but was this from starting a bit fast? either way my scores are the same. Only place it really helps is on the best pass for me, as I always get a big hit out of 1 and been on plus makes it a bit softer and more manageable. Baller_ Jody_Seal Posted January 19, 2013 Baller_ Share Posted January 19, 2013 Have used it yes! Still undecided if I will continue to use it. Changed gate approach in the last 24 months now with the elevated entry speed I find my self over powering the into the gate and going to 1 ball with more speed than I need, adjustments will be made. Nick Sullivan
I don't like it it all. I end up way too fast into 1 and it seems like 2 and 3 are also fast. Or maybe it takes me to get to 3 ball before I get my normal rythem back again.
robscholl-OF
A1+ and like the little faster gate.
Baller Marco Posted January 19, 2013 Baller Share Posted January 19, 2013 Haven't tried it yet. What is the process for getting a software upgrade? We are pulling our tournament in July with a new MC that should have the new version, and a personal 2010 200 with the old version R normal. I presume we will be required to provide the new version on the 200 for the tournament??? We are 350 miles from the closest Natique dealer, so bringing the boat in is really not an option. Baller_ RichardDoane Posted January 19, 2013 Baller_ Share Posted January 19, 2013 @marco - you need the cable and the code to download the software file (and of course the know-how), so I sent my ZO unit to someone and he did my MC and our Broho Malibu, then sent them back ready to re-install. Baller Marco Posted January 19, 2013 Baller Share Posted January 19, 2013 @richarddoane- Thanks. Sending the ZO unit makes sense. Good winter project since we won't be needing the boat for several more months.
Baller dave2ball Posted January 19, 2013 Baller Share Posted January 19, 2013 @Marco. I can't speak for MC or Malibu but the 200's should have the updated software especially if the boat is a '13.
Baller Marco Posted January 20, 2013 Baller Share Posted January 20, 2013 @dave2ball - The 200 is actually a 2010 and hasn't received any upgrades, so I think we will have to send in the unit...
Baller dave2ball Posted January 20, 2013 Baller Share Posted January 20, 2013 @ Marco your 2010 is an easy upgrade as a couple of people have stated before. If a 200 promo is coming to come to your tournament that boat should have the up grade. I am 99% sure that all promo boats will have the upgrade by July. The up grade is well worth it. Baller danbirch Posted January 20, 2013 Baller Share Posted January 20, 2013 @richarddoane Can you say who you sent it to? I'd pay to have it done. I've been trying to get a cable for a couple of months, to no avail. ZO said they won't do it.
Baller addkerr Posted January 20, 2013 Author Baller Share Posted January 20, 2013 @danbirch the ecom cable to connect directly to the head unit is available from e-controls, contact Ron Terry rterry@econtrols.com 210-495-9772 about the cable. Alternatively you can update via a diacom diagnostic cable. This will also connect to zero off and allow an update. The know how is pretty simple but you need the software to do it. The e-comm cable will work with aquastar display software. This software is available from ZO. If you don't fancy doing this, then contact ZO to get a address to send it to. Baller Marco Posted January 20, 2013 Baller Share Posted January 20, 2013 @dave2ball - The 200 is not a promo. It is a personal boat we are using to help pull the tournament, along with a MC promo that should have the latest upgrade.
