Baller estrom Posted December 20, 2012 Baller Share Posted December 20, 2012 These make me more nervous than the gators. Hate snakes!
Baller_ Bruce_Butterfield Posted December 21, 2012 Baller_ Share Posted December 21, 2012 They actually taste more like pork. We could have a good size barbecue if anyone actually bags one of those big ones. Jody, how big is your grill? If it was easy, they would call it Wakeboarding
Baller Brady Posted December 21, 2012 Baller Share Posted December 21, 2012 While I am sure that snakes are scary, I would feel much more safe skiing in python infested water over alligator infested water. If the snakes are anything like the carp of Utah Lake, a bit of sanding on the front of the fin, and they will be sliced in half faster than the local deli slicing ham. Woosh, and you turn one python into two smaller and deader pythons! Now try hitting a big alligator with your fin and it would be like hitting a rock! You would OTF and while being dazed from the massive crash and whilst scrambling out of your double boots, you would be lunch for a hungry 8 footer!!!!!! That is why I recommend RadaR skies for Floridians----the bright pink hypnotizes the brutal beasts and gives you time to flee! Alligators are scary!!!!! Baller swc5150 Posted December 21, 2012 Baller Share Posted December 21, 2012 Makes me thankful that we just have nipple biting blue gill in WI! I now always wear at least a rash guard when lounging neck deep in our lake.

Baller_ Jody_Seal Posted December 21, 2012 Author Baller_ Share Posted December 21, 2012 Gators are discriminant aquatic predators, Most are fish eaters and are harmless for the most part. Big Pythons are in-discriminant voracious eaters!
Baller A_B Posted December 21, 2012 Baller Share Posted December 21, 2012 The only time I have seen gators near people are when they are hand fed by people. Most golf course I have played in FL have gators, and only once or twice did a gator actually swim toward us. The staff said that they had seen some people feeding them, so they were going to have to remove them now. Usually, if you walk toward them to hit your next shot near water, they shoot into the water at an alarming rate.
Baller Brady Posted December 21, 2012 Baller Share Posted December 21, 2012 @AB That is how women have been with me in my life. As soon as I walk near them to give it my next shot, they shoot into the distance at an alarming rate!

Baller A_B Posted December 30, 2012 Baller Share Posted December 30, 2012 @Brady, I saw that on the webnews this morning. Also, I see in the article that Florida is finally going to do what I thought they should have done years ago, have a python hunt! I watch the Dept of Wildlife catch these things and then keep them in captivity. If they are not native species, they should have been eliminating them with a bullet. I hope they get smart and have open season year-round instead of a day.
