Steven_Haines
I remember someone was looking for a PV. Today I noticed 2 for sale on SIA. Pretty reasonable too!
Baller RichardDoane Posted November 29, 2012 Baller Share Posted November 29, 2012 guaranteed to throw you OTF for the biggest "rag-doll" of your life !
Steven_Haines
@richarddoane, That's pretty funny! I can see how that could happen, but since I've owned mine I've never had that happen.. It's been a life saver for me! Anyhow, I hope someone benefits from these killer deals! Baller eleeski Posted November 30, 2012 Baller Share Posted November 30, 2012 @richarddoane While the pull is different (weird?) it certainly is not dangerous. Someone with more skill than me (you perhaps) might be able to gain an advantage. Don't bash it too much - you might need it someday. I'm not sure I can go back now.... Baller RichardDoane Posted November 30, 2012 Baller Share Posted November 30, 2012 I get the "keep you skiing" deal, but have seen some brutal crashes when skiers don't, or can't let go quick enough
Baller wski1831 Posted November 30, 2012 Baller Share Posted November 30, 2012 The vest in Discovery Bay is in perfect condition. It doesn't have the weight belt in it, but that is available through Goode. I tried it, but not sure if I'm ready to take the plunge, like @eleeski said it's hard to go back. Brady
Anyone here want to get rid of their x large power vest?
Steven_Haines
I've heard of these crashes but never seen one or even come close to being involved in one. Never been lean locked, never had a problem releasing the handle. I don't see how it could be any different or more dangerous than using Clinchers. Like I said before, I love mine! Baller lakeaustinskier Posted November 30, 2012 Baller Share Posted November 30, 2012 My ski partner uses a Powervest - plus - he also uses Clinchers. Never had a problem but he's also experienced with both products. He says he had to go to the Powervest to help him with the deep water starts but he doesn't really use the vest in the course. Recently he had to ski with a normal vest and his bouy count wasn't far off.
