Baller rodltg2 Posted November 13, 2012 Baller Share Posted November 13, 2012 http://kentwatersports.com/Brands/56 Interesting, I did not know that these were all owned by the same company.
Administrators Horton Posted November 13, 2012 Administrators Share Posted November 13, 2012 It has been that way for a long time (maybe 10 years). Somehow they all function independently. I do not think they share much if any staff. Baller lakeaustinskier Posted November 13, 2012 Baller Share Posted November 13, 2012 I have a neighbor that is a "lifestyle product" rep for several products/companies -skis, boards, sunglasses, SUP etc. O'Brien is one his brands. The companies are pretty independent.

Baller BraceMaker Posted November 14, 2012 Baller Share Posted November 14, 2012 When you think of "waterskiing" as "liquor store distribution". You have so many waterski products that are "standard equipment" at sporting good stores - the ropes, vests, gloves, combo skis, a few wake skates, a few wakeboards. Mostly HO, CWB, some Obrien stuff.... And good to open the doors... So all the brands are under one roof which can then put it all in one catalog, so that the store manager can order the products. Just like so many types of booze are distributed through one "catalog" and then many of the companies are affiliated. Fun stuff.
Baller ForrestGump Posted November 14, 2012 Baller Share Posted November 14, 2012 Actually, it's not like that at all. All of the brands market separately. You have separate sales reps in the field for each brand. The only thing co-mingled is some production, but I believe even that is on a contract basis between companies last I heard. HO, Connelly, and Obrien really do seem to operate as separate entities.
