Guto1
Does any anyone do it at the moment? What are the benefits of it?
Baller lpskier Posted November 9, 2012 Baller Share Posted November 9, 2012 Rotate the bindings to adjust how the ski turns. Typically adjust your bindings before your fin and your rear binding before the front. Quote Lpskier
Rich
If you are LFF rotate your front binding counter clock wise to micro adjust the front binding back. Opposite if RFF Rotate rear binding clockrise to micro adjust the rear binding back. As you rotate the front binding counter clockwise and rear clockwise you will also notice you are in a more athletic stance. Try it, let me know what you experience. Administrators Horton Posted November 10, 2012 Administrators Share Posted November 10, 2012 @Guto1 generally this is pro level stuff. I would recommend that you not go down this road. Baller RichardDoane Posted November 10, 2012 Baller Share Posted November 10, 2012 @gluto1 - make sure you video your set, just in case
Steven_Haines
I've messed around with the front foot pivot and feel that it puts me in a more athletic stance. Was it the magic bullet? No...but i don't think there is one. But in any case, video is advised!!!
Guto1
Thank you all for the hints. Yes I've been messing around with it. Sometimes it seems to work but sometimes it doesn't. I am LFF and have both bindings rotated: counter and clockwise for the rear. I am thinking in rotating the front one back to the middle to see what happens. I've attached a picture of my bindings. Please see bellow. Thanks

Baller liquid d Posted November 13, 2012 Baller Share Posted November 13, 2012 Opening the stance just a touch will alleviate some torque on your knees and hips. You are really not using it to put more edge in either way. It's to be in a more comfortable/athletic position which can help you stay balanced, thus making it easier to scrap when the s... hits the fan! Guto1
Did you see the picture above @liquid d? when you say open it a touch, you mean rotate backwards compared to the picture above?
Baller BraceMaker Posted November 13, 2012 Baller Share Posted November 13, 2012 Can you rotate the forefoot and keep the heel on center? That pic makes it seem like the boot is rotating around the midfoot instead of the heels.
Baller liquid d Posted November 13, 2012 Baller Share Posted November 13, 2012 @Guto1 you have quite a bit of rotation--that's as far as I would ever want to go. @BraceMaker, yes the boot is rotating around the mid- if you don't, you will make it bite very hard on one side. Guto1
I could never rotate only the forefoot. I've tried it but the whole system move together @BraceMaker
Guto1
@liquid d. Thanks I think you are right. I will rotate it less. Haven't figure out how to do it without move the heel that much as well.
