Baller Omland Posted November 6, 2012 Baller Share Posted November 6, 2012 I just started skiing the course this year for the first time. I used a simple spreadsheet to track my sets, curious how the rest of you track your ski sets over the year?
Baller MattP Posted November 6, 2012 Baller Share Posted November 6, 2012 Over the past few years I have done, paper, online data base, excel an an iPhone app. All have their advantages/disadvantages.
Baller thager Posted November 6, 2012 Baller Share Posted November 6, 2012 I keep a paper logbook. Been doing so for years.
Baller Chef23 Posted November 6, 2012 Baller Share Posted November 6, 2012 I have to admit I am not super analytical about my skiing and don't really track my sets that well. That said one of my buddies @rayn built a great little google docs app that is easy to use and accessible from any phone with a data plan. I am going to try to track things better next year to help see what I need to work on to improve.
Baller thager Posted November 6, 2012 Baller Share Posted November 6, 2012 I also log fin settings changes. Is interesting to me that no matter what ski I am on the fin settings slowly seem to migrate back to about the same place.

Baller 6balls Posted November 7, 2012 Baller Share Posted November 7, 2012 I go ski, then call @razorskier1 on the way home if I think I'm onto something. Lots of theory talk between us, nothing written down. Morphs as the season progresses...lots of dead horses.
ToddF
Sweet all my info is uploaded on the new one. @scotchipman how long have you been using it. I thought I tried it early this summer and it still wasn't going.
Baller Razorskier1 Posted November 7, 2012 Baller Share Posted November 7, 2012 I probably should log them but I don't. When you ski as much as I tend to, which can oftentimes be 10 or more days straight during stretches of summer, I just don't have time to write! ToddF
@razorskier1 that is why the skilog is great. remembers all of your information from your previous set/day, so really all you have to update is the buoy's run and passes. there is a section for note pads and changes in fin or ski settings. I input it by the day it asks how many sets and best pass. Only takes seconds to update.
Baller_ Wish Posted November 8, 2012 Baller_ Share Posted November 8, 2012 Anybody get Radars app to work consistently. It seems so simple and easy to use but kept freezing up on my iPhone. Bummer really. Do they even know this?
Baller MattP Posted November 8, 2012 Baller Share Posted November 8, 2012 @Wish No I have not gotten it to work right. I deleted it a long time ago. Honestly I designed my own iPhone app to track my sets..
Baller_ DW Posted November 9, 2012 Baller_ Share Posted November 9, 2012 Excel spreadsheet works for me.
