Baller Inboardfix Posted March 10, 2013 Baller Share Posted March 10, 2013 @rico Most people would consider something superior if it performs as well or better than the product it replaces but last longer. The Teleflex Extreme cable and helm are a superior product to what CC used from '93-'97.
Baller liquid d Posted August 8, 2015 Baller Share Posted August 8, 2015 The Bubble butt Nautique can certainly be done for less than 20....Bruce B has one and I have one done by Jody (It's my favorite). The boat skis as good as anything out there for slalom all the way to 41. We have an 07 SN 196 also and switch back and forth all the time. The bubble butt is lighter and a lot quicker. I say you do the older MC since nobody seems to have done one yet!
Baller aupatking Posted August 10, 2015 Baller Share Posted August 10, 2015 So, I could pull my 225 hour GT40, drop it in my 93 SN and sell it. Then, get an engine and ZO in the bubble butt. I'm becoming a bigger fan of that idea, the more I read these threads. Skiing behind and driving a 2014 Prostar with a 343, it feels like it has no balls, compared to the GT40. @liquid d and @Bruce_Butterfield , what engine did you guys go with and what has been your experience with it over the previous engine? Baller_ Bruce_Butterfield Posted August 10, 2015 Baller_ Share Posted August 10, 2015 I went from a GT-40 with 1700 hrs to a new Excalibur 343. Both are solid and very comparable. Any slight differences are in the noise. So from both driver and skier perspective they are the same. If it was easy, they would call it Wakeboarding
Baller liquid d Posted August 10, 2015 Baller Share Posted August 10, 2015 Jody put an excalibur 343 in mine..old engine had about 10000000 hours on it...hahaha...I think jody got 17cents per pound for it melted down!

Baller Windsurfnut Posted August 23, 2019 Baller Share Posted August 23, 2019 @JC McCavit old post, but do you have your settings for zbox, ball times etc for perfectpass. I have the same theory, gt40 in a small/light hull and its more responsive then the factory settings.
