UCLA and SDSU co-hosted Regionals at Imperial last weekend. Great tournament! Warm glass water, enthusiastic kids and some fantastic performances! Well done!

Results (by order of importance as determined by a proud dad!):

Mens tricks: Kirk Lee (UCLA) @3120 edged Robert Morris (SDSU) by 10 points for the title (good day for the hosts!) with Kevin Malak (ASU) close behind.

Womens tricks: Megan Collins (ASU) @1560 won with Alex Bachmeier (Western Washington - a long way from home!) second and Lindsay Able (ASU) earning third.

Mens jump: Kevin Malak (ASU) @153' won jump ahead of Robert Morris (SDSU) and Mason Mechler (ASU).

Womens jump: Lindsay Able (ASU) @ 93 was one foot ahead of Megan Collins (ASU) with Alex Bachmeier (WWU) third.

Mens slalom: Tyler Yager (UCSD) was in it to 5 ball for a Collegiate Western Regional record (5@10.75m) with Steven Neveu (ASU) a couple buoys back and Josh Badal taking third.

Womens slslom: An ASU sweep with Taylor Woolsey @ 3@12m followed by Megan Collins and Lindsay Able.

Congratulations to the winners and their great performances. Also congratulations to all the skiers who had personal bests (so many first jumps!) and just got out on the water for their teams. Good experience and great fun. These kids are the future of our sport - we'll be fine!

PS Conditions were so perfect we want traditional Regionals at Imperial in October!
