Baller Dirt Posted September 29, 2012 Baller Share Posted September 29, 2012 Nothing surprising here.
Baller Boody Posted September 29, 2012 Baller Share Posted September 29, 2012 When I looked at it in the sunlight, I saw it was a 9960 top plate, as it had the indented triangle on the tip where the "SL" would go. But the graphics were from a Nano.
Baller SkiJay Posted September 29, 2012 Baller Share Posted September 29, 2012 Really?!! If Regina is not on an actual Nano One, this is just another reason why Big Dawg is so interesting. Most BD skiers are on production skis that they're paying for it by choice. It seems a more meaningful and honest display of what our options are out here in the paying public. Administrators Horton Posted September 29, 2012 Administrators Share Posted September 29, 2012 That looks like an N1 to me. With any factory skier the graphics really do not mean anything. Part of a factory skiers job is to do R&D so they are often skiing on test skis. Baller webbdawg99 Posted September 29, 2012 Baller Share Posted September 29, 2012 If you look closely at the pic, you can definitely see the outline of the triangle that Boody is referring to.
Baller Boody Posted September 29, 2012 Baller Share Posted September 29, 2012 Todd Risto said he is also on a Nano One, but its got the 9960 top plate and the Nano twist graphics.
Baller webbdawg99 Posted September 29, 2012 Baller Share Posted September 29, 2012 I'm also kind of surprised at how canted her rear boot is.
Baller Steven_Haines Posted September 29, 2012 Baller Share Posted September 29, 2012 Look at the boot spacing too
Administrators Horton Posted September 29, 2012 Administrators Share Posted September 29, 2012 @Boody the shape was done before the graphics. Nick Parsons ski is flat black and I promise you it is a N1. Baller Texas6 Posted September 29, 2012 Baller Share Posted September 29, 2012 @steven haines, that gap between her front and back foot has to be two inches! From a strong athletic balance perspective, there has to be something to that. I'm going to start experimenting a little
Baller Steven_Haines Posted September 29, 2012 Baller Share Posted September 29, 2012 I've run my boots with a large spacing before. I found that I like them closer. When they're further apart I end up pushing the tail of the ski too much. But obviously it works for her! She's probably ALOT stronger than me! Baller skihart Posted September 29, 2012 Baller Share Posted September 29, 2012 Ya that rear boot is really canted. You know I looked at my rear power shell boot a few weeks ago and noticed that it had losened off a bit and become more canted than I had set it up. I guess my skiing style just worked it into that position. So I returned it to where I thought it should be and went out...... Hated it like that. So I changed it back to be more canted. It's not as canted as Regina's but not that far off. Her boots spacing is something else though. Maybe her feet are smaller therefore more space between the boots? Baller ForrestGump Posted October 9, 2012 Baller Share Posted October 9, 2012 The amount space between her boots is off due to the camera perspective and the angle of the boots. If that boot was rotated back to center, it would be a LOT closer than it appears from this picture. I was standing 6 inches away as Chad worked on it and it's not as far apart as it looks here. Although there is space.
