Administrators Horton Posted December 13, 2012 Administrators Share Posted December 13, 2012 I talked to Dave Wingerter yesterday. His comment was "The A3 turned out even better than expected". I guess we all know what my first 2013 test ski is going to be. Baller_ The_MS Posted December 13, 2012 Baller_ Share Posted December 13, 2012 That looks nice. If I had some great colors on my vests and dry suits, I could be the chartreuse @Richard Doane.
FrankS
IMO, the A3 "lemon-ited" edition is the coolest looking ski made in recent years. I dare you to find a better looking one. Oh, and I heard it skis pretty good also.

Baller Ed_Johnson Posted December 14, 2012 Author Baller Share Posted December 14, 2012 @gump....Tried the Strada..While I am sure it is a fine ski for some, it absolutely did not work at all for me...Goode and HO seems to fit my technique the best. Baller estrom Posted December 14, 2012 Baller Share Posted December 14, 2012 I would love to get my hands on an A3, but that lemon-lime edition just doesn't do it for me. If anyone at HO wants to send me a Christmas present, I'll take a 66" in the boring red, white and black.
Baller mellig Posted December 15, 2012 Baller Share Posted December 15, 2012 @Ed_Johnson I don't recall size they might have been 67" or 68" A3's both Red/Black & Green but didn't appear to be much smaller. I wasn't exactly encouraged to go grab one and take it off the rack, but they were getting the final quality inspection and clean-up and could resist. Another upgrade is in store for this year cannot wait to get on it. Interesting thing is they are not be manufactured at the HO, but at Connelly's manufacturing site. The cross over effect at least in manufacturing of being owned by Kent Watersports.
Baller ForrestGump Posted December 15, 2012 Baller Share Posted December 15, 2012 If I'm not mistaken, Connelly's manufacturing facility has been doing the production work on at least the high end HO's for about 4 years.
Administrators Horton Posted December 15, 2012 Administrators Share Posted December 15, 2012 @ShaneH no I do not think it has been that long. O'Brien was being made at HO for a long time and then in the last year everyone moved to Connelly - (If I got that wrong someone will tell me) Goode ★ HO Syndicate ★ KD Skis ★ MasterCraft ★ PerfSki Radar ★ Reflex ★ S Lines ★ Stokes Drop a dime in the can
Baller MattP Posted December 15, 2012 Baller Share Posted December 15, 2012 @Horton sounds right. Connelly has the newest and largest factory. I thought HO was building a new facility, but could have been offices.
