rq0013
Brooks was talking to me about flare skiing early this week, he said he ran 35mph and 32off for that video. The flare he said lit a 30ft radius for him so he could see

Baller Than_Bogan Posted August 23, 2012 Baller Share Posted August 23, 2012 Woah, now THAT is cool. Who knew waterskiing and firebending were so closely related. (If you have no clue what firebending is, go to your Netflix and watch Avatar: The Last Airbender, which is only the most awesome cartoon series ever.) But anyhow there's sort of a point to my ramblings, which is that this sort of thing could really grab the attention of the younger generation. Great stuff!! Texas6
@MattP, let us know what you find out here. Its worth smoking out an older ski for the pictures, but no way am I scalding my regular stick for it. Awesome idea

Baller Ilivetoski Posted August 25, 2012 Baller Share Posted August 25, 2012 @rq0013 yes, but how did he keep the flare from burning through the ski? Or his legs for that matter.
rq0013
the flare was near the fin block pointed backwards
Members SkiJay
@rq0013 Zip tied to what? Was the flare laying on or next to the fin block, pointed out the back, with ZipTies going over the flare and around underneath the base of the ski? This has been puzzling me all day.
