kfennell
I need some threaded inserts for my RS-1 I need to make it match up to the FM bindings I just got, and I dont want to pay $70 for the plate when i can just drill the ski. Where can I buy the threaded inserts, preferably ones with an install tool or a slot for a flat screwdriver on the top. Need to have them here by friday. Thanks

Baller Wayne Posted July 24, 2012 Baller Share Posted July 24, 2012 Lowes doesn't always have them, none in my area did. I ordered a bag of 50 from Amazon last season and had them in less than a week. If you were local to me I would give you some for free.
Baller MattP Posted July 24, 2012 Baller Share Posted July 24, 2012 I would sugest not drilling into a modern ski.. the top sheet of carbon will not with stand the stress that can be put on it from a binding. Is it possible to drill the plate to match the hole pattern in your ski?
kfennell
It is a FM quattro rear mount onto a Radar RS-1. Is that ski carbon? I thought it was before that really started up. There is no way to drill it, but I could buy the $30 adapter plate from FM
