Gold Member Than_Bogan Posted July 8, 2012 Gold Member Share Posted July 8, 2012 Twitter feeds says she ran 5 @ 32/-38 yesterday, leaving the G2 record 2 buoys behind her. (Was that record already hers? How much has she added to the old one?) That is some insane skiing. Awesome job, Ruth! Hope to meet you one of these days. Baller klindy Posted July 8, 2012 Baller Share Posted July 8, 2012 Yeah she set a (pending) G2 record at Cottonwood a few weeks ago with a score of 3@32/11.25. Previous to that she held (at least co-held) the record with a score of 2.5 (which set ran last fall). Great skiing Ruth!
Baller_ The_MS Posted July 8, 2012 Baller_ Share Posted July 8, 2012 She was on her way to running the pass. Looked awesome. She will run it before years end.

Baller markchilcutt Posted July 9, 2012 Baller Share Posted July 9, 2012 Insane skiing!!! Congrats!! At what age do G2 move into G3???
Baller Chef23 Posted July 9, 2012 Baller Share Posted July 9, 2012 14 is when kids move from 2 to 3. Some kids could be 14 and still ski in 2 depending on their birthday. My son is 13 right now but based on ski age is 12 and will ski B2 this year plus one more.
Baller Dirt Posted July 9, 2012 Baller Share Posted July 9, 2012 She can ski! These photos are from Cottonwood back in June, not Cedar Ridge.

Baller 6balls Posted July 10, 2012 Baller Share Posted July 10, 2012 @than it sounds like everyone's arms are bigger than yours : ) I think it is really interesting that a lot of ladies skiers go out there in those tiny little bikini bottoms when I'm not willing to run in anything less than boardies or more often a shorty wetsuit even when it's warm. I like the protection...the ladies seem so exposed.
bb85025
@6balls as April Coble says "ski like a girl" ...
Baller jipster43 Posted July 10, 2012 Baller Share Posted July 10, 2012 Holy Cow! That is awesome! Seems to me the future of competitive skiing is in fine hands.
Gold Member Than_Bogan Posted July 10, 2012 Author Gold Member Share Posted July 10, 2012 @6balls Yeah, at 6'2" 170 there's not a lot to me. Then again, in 10th grade I was 6'2" 145, so I made some "progress" I guess. But at least my 11 year old daughter doesn't have arms bigger than mine... My 7 year old daughter is getting close, though :-) She takes more after her mom. @RuthMcCreary Welcome to the board! I'd love to hear more from you, although I'll understand if you have better things to do than help old fogies with their skiing...
Baller GaryWilkinson Posted July 10, 2012 Baller Share Posted July 10, 2012 I make a point to watch and learn from the ladies/girls that ski at 34 mph than the men who are at 36 and 6'4" 200+ lbs. with the exception of Nate smith, I find the gals ski smoother, more efficiently. Continued good health and performances Ruth!
Baller ToddL Posted July 10, 2012 Baller Share Posted July 10, 2012 I wonder if she wanted to use a junior rope...? just kidding. Obviously, she is on a standard rope. The Masterline junior rope only goes to -35 and the InTow junior rope only goes to -32. But, per the rules she has the option of using the junior rope as a G2 skier. I know... off topic. BTW - Nice Skiing Ruth!!!! That is very awesome!
Baller_ RichardDoane Posted July 10, 2012 Baller_ Share Posted July 10, 2012 @RuthMcCreary - are those Strada boots on your plate ?
Baller_ The_MS Posted July 10, 2012 Baller_ Share Posted July 10, 2012 Strada boots and no JR rope.
Baller teammalibu Posted July 10, 2012 Baller Share Posted July 10, 2012 She is a great skier. Sure would like to find the SOB that stole her families skis last fall. She would break the junior rope.
