lagdawg
What are the differences between the Red(2011) and Yellow(2012) Strada's? I can get either one new for about $150 difference, is the Yellow worth $150 more? Also for someone skiing 36 mph working into 28off and weighing 215 what size would you suggest? If I lost weight down to 200 or less would that change the size?
Administrators Horton Posted May 18, 2012 Administrators Share Posted May 18, 2012 The yellow one looks better. Besides that they ski the same. At 34mph and 190 I can ride the 68 or 67. At 36 and 215 I would think the 68 would be big enough. Baller Rup Posted May 18, 2012 Baller Share Posted May 18, 2012 I have just got a yellow Strada but I have not tried the red one. Is the flex different on the yellow?
Jim Neely
Here's what Radar says about the Yellow(2012) Strada. A new 45 degree torsional carbon layup has made the Strada more dynamic off the second wake and sturdier at the finish of the turn.
Members ktm300
At least for the 67" the yellow is softer longitudinally and stiffer torsionally. Silver top was 170, 138.5, 107, 71.5 1.95” Yellow 160, 132.5, 100, 66 1.96”
eddie_roberts_jr
The 2012 yellow Strada and the 2011 'red' Strada are the same flex. Your yellow is at the soft end of the flex spectrum. How are you liking it?
Baller Rup Posted May 18, 2012 Baller Share Posted May 18, 2012 I have only had a few sets on it but I am loving it!

DAL
funnily enough, I can buy a 2012 yellow one cheaper than the 2011 red model, go figure.

rq0013
The 2012 feels smoother and crisp when skiing. I think the tip stays down a bit easier on the offside.
