I love watching Parrish ski. He is LFF like I am and while I am not 6'5" he makes everything look simple from a technique standpoint.

Hadn't noticed the toe loop -- nice catch. Perhaps skiing with Andy he's been converted to the cult of TL (my preferred ski method).

I think Parrish has dabbled with a rear boot I seem to remember him in a Wiley rear at one point but I recall him primarily as a looper. Out of the top skiers how many are loopers right now. I know Asher and Desgaspari are.

What I find interesting is that his hands are right on top of each other as he is pulling out for the gate. Once he initiates his turn in for the gate, he slides his left hand over to the other side of the handle. I first noticed this on the webcast at Moomba but could not see it as well as on this video. Any ideas of why he does this or the benefit?

Parrish set his world record with a rear Wiley. He has switched to a toe loop recently.

@ski4xtc Also notice that on his pull out he has the handle vertical and his hands are above the center of the handle. Does anybody else hold the handle vertical on their pullout? Not sure if I am seeing it right but he does not seem to change the attitude of his shoulders to the boat once he counters for the buoy goes through the turn and is then releasing for the next buoy. As always he makes it look so effortless.

I thought the same thing. Those guys did design an awesome ski. To be that consistent both ways through the course is amazing!

Such an amazing skier. Just watch his backwards pass, and he somehow maintains so much angle out of the ball without sticking the rear tip in and catching a digger.

I got to both see Parrish from the boat (boat judge) and drive a round for him this weekend. I must say, the timing on when he moves the hand down on the handle is interesting as it is in the middle of the rotation for the gate just before he loads the line. What a treat to see first hand! While he didn't run a 41 this weekend (I believe the scores were 3.5, 3.5, and 4.0 all at 41), it's obvious he's getting more and more confortable on the new ski and will be running them regularly. Every set, he looked as though he would run the pass. I'm sure at least one person was videoing from shore (no boat camera), so I hope to see that surface soon.
