Baller MattP Posted May 1, 2012 Baller Share Posted May 1, 2012 Princes Club has been one of Europe's biggest Waterski and Wakeboard park for over 55 years. Situated minutes from Heathrow, it boasts 7 lakes, a luxurious clubhouse, restaurant, bar, gym and squash courts - all set out over 128 hectares of land. The management announced on Friday (20th April) that the club would be closing it's doors at the end of May 2012. This is a sad moment for everyone involved and we would like your support in trying to keep Princes Club open as long as possible. Please sing the petition to keep Princes open http://www.thepetitionsite.com/547/067/594/save-princes-club-from-closing-down/?cid=FB_TAF

Baller Stevie Boy Posted May 2, 2012 Baller Share Posted May 2, 2012 Princes is a great venue and it would be a great shame if it was to be closed down, moving on to the petition, who is the petition going to petition, its not a government run business, it is run by private individual/investors as a business, if it is financially not viable or the owner/owners want to close it down or not be associated with it for other reasons, it is almost certain that a petition is going to fall on deaf ears. Business people are in business for a reason, to make money ! unless they have a vested interest in the sport, princes charges approx £20 -£25 a tow thats $32 - $40 for you people in the USA, most Ski Schools in the USA now charge $60 - $80 a tow. Yes the Cable Tow probably makes a little money, but it,s the main reason waterskiing is becoming less viable, Yes Wakeboarders use the cable tow, not so many venues offer slalom cable tow now, its mainly wakeboarders, who benefit from cheap time on the water, consequently the cheaper option for somebody to get slalom skiing is not there, meaning less people progress to the Boats. Remember if somebody buys a Business they also get to buy the Debt.
