Dry suit repair

My O'Neill Assault hybrid drysuit has a 3" rip on one of the ankle seals. I'm still using it but I'm worried the rip will continue up the leg. I went to a local dive shop looking for a repair kit, he had nothing , suggested using "shoe goo" and a piece of neoprene. Anyone else have an idea on a repair. The suit is only a year old, really like it and would hate to have to shell out bucks for another one. Thanks

You can call O'neil direct @ 1-831-475-7500. They have a repair place in national City, ca ( san diego area)

You box up the suit and include Name, return address, 2. phone #, 3. product description and 4, requested action

mail to: O'Neil attn: repair dept. 1022 Bay Marina Dr, suite 140B. National City Ca 91950. Probably take 4-6 weeks depending on the time of season. They will leak test the suit afterwards and call you with a cost. Just had mine done. Neck seal and both wrist seals done, reglued all seams, $30.

Plus 1 on sending to O'Neill. They will make it like new for a surprisingly reasonable price like 20-40 bucks since they seem to view customer satisfaction as something important... Go figure. Fixed a wrist seal in my 5 year old Boost for 20 including return shipping.

Does take 4-6 weeks for turnaround but hopefully you are near the end of your drysuit season

I've had terrible experience with O'Neil repair. Sent one of my Assault hybrids to them twice. Asked them to leak test it and repair it. First time I was told it needed a new zipper and a left leg seal. $200.00 later with shipping and the suit still leaked. Sent it back and they replaced a wrist seal. Suit still leaks. I will never deal with O'Neil repair again. It is cheaper to just order a new suit. In my opinion the Assault hybrid is the the best dry suit for pure slalom skiing. My point is, do not waste money on shipping and repairs. The suits last one or two years at best and then need to be replaced.
