Strada 55's

The 55 is a lot faster than the old Senate C I tried out. This should be a model they offer in the lineup!

Yes with a wider tail, I would call it more of a mid-Strada. The major difference vs the Senate C is the PVC core in the 55 vs. the poly core in the Senate C. The PVC provides more rebound. the 55 is based off the Strada mold somewhat, which was a change from the prior year. I think it turns better than the old version I had. The Strada longer model is 69.5".

Now that's a ski I'd like to try. That was a limited run correct? Did it have the same graphics as the Strada?

White top with black/gold bottom. I think someone said it was a RS1 graphic. I bought 2 last year, one for me and one for my ski partner.

 

I believe there are only a couple of each length.

Yes - my Strada55 has the RS1 graphic and I am still very happily skiing on it.

Still on mine. I don't think I will ever outgrow this ski, and I really don't believe all the hype about having to buy the latest and greatest each season. If I'm not progressing, it's me, not the ski. Marketing !

Strada 55 was not an official Radar product. It was an limited run R&D ski that some bozo named “Strada 55”.

 

It was made from the Senate mold and built with Strada materials.

 

The Senate is the same shape as the Strada but .2” (I think) wider.

@Horton yes that was a bone head move to name a ski with 55's in the name. I almost did not read this because I thought it was about Radar making buoys!

I remember that the name came from @horton, as in it was a ski that really performed at 55kph, but I might be wrong

Think I have one in the garage with a 1/4 slice out of the tail to make it thinner. Baker ran 39 on it in a few tournaments when we were messing with it.
