Baller ral Posted February 22, 2012 Baller Share Posted February 22, 2012 Got one. Anyone else? Have not tried it yet, as I want to maybe reduce it from 13" to 12" and maybe attach a safety device to it.

Baller ThePantsManCan Posted February 24, 2012 Baller Share Posted February 24, 2012 That triangle grip made my brain see stars and question marks. How does it work? Looks mighty uncomfortable. Educate me.
Baller Bulldog Posted February 24, 2012 Baller Share Posted February 24, 2012 Great Picture, thanks for the clarification. How much for the system? "Do Better..."
Baller Mateo_Vargas Posted February 24, 2012 Baller Share Posted February 24, 2012 I'm trying to get one to try but my question is what do you do if it's long or short for tournament use? Will the arc bar make it too long?
Baller usaski1 Posted February 25, 2012 Baller Share Posted February 25, 2012 If its too long for tourny use, you do what you can do to every other handel.. tie a knot in the rope. If its too short, I'm sure you can tie a piece on the lead to make it the correct length.
Baller klindy Posted February 25, 2012 Baller Share Posted February 25, 2012 Has the handle assembly been approved by the AWSA technical committee? If not the rope must be attached to the handle by passing the rope through the handle twice. This can be a non-issue if the assembly is presented to the tech committee along with the appropriate testing results. (AWSA rule 8.04d). It also states that the handle must be between 1.00" and 1.25" in diameter which makes the triangular and eliptical handles a potential issue. Again, I suspect if Radar took a pro-active approach to get this in front of the tech committee (and they may already have) it would be a non-issue. Frankly I think it's a pretty good idea! Baller A_B Posted February 25, 2012 Baller Share Posted February 25, 2012 I tried a triangle handle many years ago, and even the eliptical, both are tough on the fingers imo. They both made a lot of sense, but maybe I am just too heavy on the line for them. For tricks or wakeboard, might be good.
Baller_ lpskier Posted February 26, 2012 Baller_ Share Posted February 26, 2012 I am not a Radar skier, but I have a hard time believing that they didn't thoroughly think through all these issues before putting the product on the market. I saw the product at Performance and thought it was pretty cool. Nevertheless, I plan to stick with Brenda/In Tow. Lpskier
Baller disland Posted February 26, 2012 Baller Share Posted February 26, 2012 Can anyone confirm if any Radar sponsored skiers are using it in tournaments?

countymountie
Unfortunately I'm in the market for a new handle after I left my Masterline handle and gloves in FLA last month. Mine was a .94 diameter. Questions from a newb: A .94 dia isn't approved for tournaments? What do women and people with smaller hands do? My Masterline gloves (the ones like the Clinchers) I have found to be most effective with going with the smallest handle diameter as reasonably possible. The handle will "dig in" to the dowel strap. Smaller is better. The new Radar doesn't go that small. Will a triangle shape work or go with the eliptical? Thanks......
Baller Chef23 Posted February 26, 2012 Baller Share Posted February 26, 2012 I don't believe there is any issue skiing with a .94 diameter handle in tournaments. I have had to measure the length of the handle bridle but never had anyone look at the diameter of the handle.
Baller MattP Posted February 26, 2012 Baller Share Posted February 26, 2012 @countymountie They do not check handle diameters. Masterline does make a .888 if you wanted to go smaller.
countymountie
Masterline does make a .888 if you wanted to go smaller. Yeah, I've seen one..........its small ;) I think I might try seeing if Radar can go smaller or I might try the triangle and wear down the back two edges.
