Baller 6balls Posted August 14, 2011 Baller Share Posted August 14, 2011 This at Minnesota inboard. Would be the home boat for me if I had the dough. Could take on the payments, but trying not to deviate from financial plan...grrr. http://www.winboats.com/winboats/minnesota_inboard_water_sports/boatdetail/US-MB2P5605C707_2007-Malibu-Response-LXi-SE.html

Baller swc5150 Posted August 15, 2011 Baller Share Posted August 15, 2011 Take off that chin up bar, and that's one of the nicest looking Bu's I've seen.
Baller 6balls Posted August 15, 2011 Author Baller Share Posted August 15, 2011 Silver edition was a one year thing. Came special graphics, tandem w/mags, 400 hp hammerhead and all optioned out. Always kind of wanted one and still tempted to do something stupid given it's only got 6.5 hours. Tower would actually work ok for me on home boat as on public water there. They are asking $39,900. I don't think has ZO but should be able to add to this vintage.
kfennell
Is a low hours boat really worth that much more? You're basically paying the same as you would for a 100 hour promo '11 at that price?
Chef23
I don't believe that you can add ZO easily to an 07. It needs a new ECM which is pricey to get to ZO.
Baller ForrestGump Posted August 15, 2011 Baller Share Posted August 15, 2011 New ECM and ZO would run $2350. Had a friend who did it to his 07 recently. Although it's very nice, that's too much money for a 4 year old LXI. Even though it's a silver edition. A bank will loan about $30k max on that boat. Klinger
I really dont think you will be able to buy a 2011 100 hour promo of any breed for $39,900. Nice looking boat though!
kfennell
Klinger, there is a variety of them listed for that price right now, there is a 11 malibu in dallas and a 11 centurion in Minnesota and MS that are both ~$36k maybe even less.
Baller 6balls Posted August 15, 2011 Author Baller Share Posted August 15, 2011 It's an asking price, not a sale price. All factors you bring up would be bargaining chips and if you don't NEED it, you can simply walk away (and should at least once, waiting for the call back a few days later). 501Brandon
If Zero off was installed on this boat it would have needed an EControls ECM and as you may already know a new ECM resets your hours... So its possible a guy could run a lot of hours on the EControl ECM then remove the EControls ECM & reinstall the OEM (Delphi ECM) and show a very low hour... I also have this same boat (07 Silver) and have been considering an upgrade from PP to ZO and after pricing it all out including the ZO 1590.00, break out harness from Malibu 500.00 and an ECM from Indmar 1000.00 it will be a little over 3K. I was told that very few if any 2007 Silvers made it out with an Econtrol ECM... I hate to sound negative and am in no way saying this is the case with this boat... Baller 6balls Posted August 15, 2011 Author Baller Share Posted August 15, 2011 I don't think it's got ZO. Klondike, how does the 400 hp hammerhead compare to std power in the LXi?
Nick Sullivan
The hammerhead had problems with low oil pressure. Not sure its the best motor out there. No way, will you get into a promo boat for close to that price. Unless its beat and has tons of hours on it.
501Brandon
I did not see ZO listed... The hammerhead in my opinion is super strong and smooth... The oil issue I believe was more due to the actual amount of oil rather than a pressure issue. I had a recall/service bulletin that replaced the dip stick. I had an issue where the boat would start out of the hole and return itself to idle, what I was told is that the oil would move to the rear of the engine leaving creating a low/no oil situation so the engine would retard to try and prevent burning it up. I have not had one issue since and sit at 212 hours...

Baller 6balls Posted August 16, 2011 Author Baller Share Posted August 16, 2011 Boat sold quick. Good thing for me it's gone so I don't come up with some creative financing.
