I head CP ran 35 then went up to 41 and ran it then got 1.5 at 43 today at Cedar Ridge I believe it was. CP said there was a video of it and it would be posted later. Did anyone get to see this?

CP did got from 35 to 41 unknowingly. He started his set and ran up the line to 41 off as he came around 3 ball at 41 off he fell. The boat judge realized that the dome of the bubble buoy had come off and was actually floating about 6 inches wide of the bouy itself So Parrish was granted a re ride. It took approximately 10 minutes to repair and replace the buoy. CP apparently did not understand the rule, he thought he was starting over so he went out at 35 (which was an unscored warmup based on the 10 minute delay) after the warm up pass the rope was shortened to 41 off. Chris ran it and came out the gates asking if they double shortened the rope. He scored 1 1/2 @ 43, the following round he ran 41 off again.

Wow...look at him run the 35 off pass. He looks like a guy cruising through 15 off. At two ball it looks like he is warming up at the beginning of the season for free skiing.

I know that he is incredible, but how on earth does he make that pass look so slow and simple???

Chad's comment that Chris didn't understand the rule brings up two points. First it appears that it wasn't properly explained to him by the boat judge (no offense to the judge). The rule states that after a 10 minute delay the skier has the option of taking an unscored pass in the opposite direction of the reride with a protected score, or he may start over, unprotected. Starting over means that the skier may start at any speed/line length. So it's obvious the rule wasn't explained to him based on the stated comment from CP. Second point is the USAWS "fast track" program to senior judge which allows Open rated skiers to test up to Senior judge without any quantitative requirements. Obviously a test cannot touch on every rule and it would be easy for an Open skier be a senior judge without proper knowledge of all rules, witness CP's knowledge of said rule (again no offense to CP personally, just an expample)
