I posted the new MC Promo Boat on SIA, and want to say "thank you very much" to Larry for the special consideration. However, afterwards my computer was doing strange things, so I ran the anti-malware software and found that some spyware had snuck in. Anybody else have this problem, or was it just me ?

I did too, thanking him for the "promo boat" category, and asking how to send him some $$$'s for supporting his website. As I was loading my info onto the SIA form, my computer did a restart all by itself, so that's why I figure the spyware came from that page. Hackers and the time they waste for others iritates me.....

Richard / John,

Sorry for the delay. All sorts of possible reasons but I did check out all the SIA files on the webhost and none have been altered from my local copies. Usually if someone hacks a site, they leave some clues like a new file or altered files. This does not mean it is not coming from the webserver that hosts the SIA website, but my host and its forum has not identified any issues but I will keep checking. SpyWare can sneak in from all sorts of places, including ones own ISP.

Richard, if your cleaning software provided a resport of the offending spyware, please send me the report, so I can do a little research and see if the major virus scan producers list how it manifests itself.

Ironically, given Google Analytics is part of the code, that is also a possible location. In fact, most hackers go after the BIG SITES. For them, bringing down a site like Google is where there thrills come from!

Please, if anyone else, has an issue let me know and I will see if I can track it down.

Hey ... just a follow-up. Had Google do a malware scan of the website, and it turned up negative. Now that is not the end-all-be-all, but it adds a little bit of credability to my first posting! Again, if anyone has any problems, by all means, let me know!

Mechanics always lie.

Richard once did time for trying to sell a cop's wife a muffler bearing.
