Lorne
Hi, I am a good recreational skier. I am not an expert but have been skiing for 40 years. I am 6' and 190 lbs. What would be a good choice of waterski to put up some spray?

Baller thager Posted August 8, 2010 Baller Share Posted August 8, 2010 If you only want spray pick up an old red and blue Obrien Mach 1.
Lorne
Yeah, All I want is to throw a big spray and have some fun. I am sure the Strada is great, but definetly out of my price range. I truely appreciate any suggestions. What about the length of ski?

Administrators Horton Posted August 8, 2010 Administrators Share Posted August 8, 2010 Lorne, You have no idea how funny your question is! The real answer is that the ski does not make a huge difference in your spray; the way you ski makes the difference. After a few beers, I would tell you that any ski ever made by O'Brien makes the best spray. Welcome to BallOfSpray. Please do not take offence by me laughing at your question. How to make a big spray is a classic question instructors hear at ski school. Cracks me up every time. A few weeks ago, I was skiing with a pro skier (T$) and asked him if my spray was big. I think he almost shot RockStar out his nose. http://lh3.ggpht.com/_4-6ay9R-bLE/TF9TE6_Qg5I/AAAAAAAADTY/XY6qqaxN26Y/s400/DSC_4966a.jpg I do love photos of (my) spray. Lorne
Thanks everyone for the advice. I did buy the Mach 1 on Ebay. I will work on technique. I am presently skiing on the slalom portion of 67"Â O'Brien Performers.
