Tuney
Ouch. That sucks. Hopefully it is a seamless recovery. How did she crash when she was 10 mins ahead? Was the terrain pretty rough or a bike breakdown?

Baller skidawg Posted October 25, 2009 Author Baller Share Posted October 25, 2009 Ten min ahead doesn't mean u don't stop riding hard. Bit of bad luck w a bad line. Caught a root and got pitched out the front. Lucky for her head that her elbow took the blow
Boody
That is too bad, glad to see your wife so active though. Hopefully that will help in her recovery.
Baller skidawg Posted October 26, 2009 Author Baller Share Posted October 26, 2009 Active is an understatement, she runs 32 off. Does mtb racing, triathelons, adventure races. I pray this surgery goes well or momma won't b happy
Baller ForrestGump Posted October 26, 2009 Baller Share Posted October 26, 2009 After we all saw all the scrapes from that adventure race she won prior to coming to the lake to ski, we all knew that skidawg was not the one wearing the pants in the family. :)

Baller jdarwin Posted October 26, 2009 Baller Share Posted October 26, 2009 Given the choice, I would rather take on skidawg in a bar fight than Kim - she's one tough cookie (and bakes great cookies, too!).

Baller Alvin_Neff Posted October 26, 2009 Baller Share Posted October 26, 2009 Just noticed this thread and I am thinking about the pain she must be in today. Ward,I hope you can be a good caretaker/babysitter. She will need some TLC.  Best wishes to Kim for a speedy recovery. She is such a kind person with amazing athletic ability. I know she will be back to competing in skiing, adventure races, and triathelons soon. That makes me tired just typing it!
Baller teammalibu Posted October 26, 2009 Baller Share Posted October 26, 2009 Knowing Kim she probably wanted to pick up that bike with her good arm and finish the race.Heal fast Kim our thoughts are with you.
Baller skidawg Posted October 26, 2009 Author Baller Share Posted October 26, 2009 Ct scan shows the impact pushed the humerous thru the ulna. The ulna in the elbow joint was shattered in over ten pieces. Cartilage is also gone. Not certain of ligament damage. Surgery should take two hrs at nine in the morning. This is a serious deal and prayer is needed. Scoke u may mention to dr Rick and see if I can call. Up date after post op. Baller MAD11 Posted October 28, 2009 Baller Share Posted October 28, 2009 I just go around security and ask for special assistance. Now when we travel together I can limp through carrying Jay Leach. Our boy just had that back rebuilt and is down for a while. Dawg, take care of her. You may only get two or three good wives in a lifetime if your lucky, which actually isn't bad since my dad always said you'll only get one really good bird dog in a lifetime.  We'll pray for her, but I may need to ask my brother and father the ministers to do it for me. Not sure they will take my calls up there.
