Administrators Horton Posted September 3, 2008 Administrators Share Posted September 3, 2008 Attention all skiers, officials & guests:Due to the impact of Hurricane Gustav, the resulting widespread power outages, projected limited ability of accommodations, and uncertainties around air transportation into the greater New Orleans-Baton Rouge-Biloxi area, we regret to inform you that the Ski Nautique Big Dawg Qualifier #4 (Ski Ranch - Covington) has been cancelled. If you are a skier travelling via air transportation, please contact your relevant carrier as many have instituted special policies and programs for the affected areas (e.g. credits, deferment, etc).On behalf of the tournament organizers & chief officials, we would like to thank all of the skiers for their active support of this event, as well as their thoughts / words in support of the recovery efforts for the Gulf Coast as a result of this storm. We hope to see many of you participating at other events in the future. The tournament organizers & chief officials for this Big Dawg Qualifier are actively working with the relevant parties on an alternative qualification protocol for the upcoming Big Dawg Finals, September 27th-28th in Orlando, FL. Once details have been finalized, the resulting qualifications will be made available to all skiers. Old MS Accout
I am not sure. I dont like not having 28 in the bag if there is a wind. 32 off starting down wind sucks when I have to caome back down again at 38 in a tail. I may skip and look for another 3-6 round slalom tourney.

Old MS Accout
It was great. You guys are awesome and are lucky to ski at such a great site. 49f this morning and the lake lost lots of heat last night. I will be looking at my dry suit by mid month if this keeps up.
