kenNJ
Just moved to CA from Lake Mohawk NJ. I live very close to a place called "Ski Ranch" in the Oildale area. Dose anyone have any info on how or if I can bring my boat and ski there? Are there any other ski lakes besides Ski west and Ironwood? Administrators Horton Posted August 4, 2008 Administrators Share Posted August 4, 2008 It used to be called Thompson Ski Ranch. It is pretty close to my house. It was a ski lake in the 1970s and 1980s. Sometime in the 90s it became a kids camp and now I hear it is for sale.  Kinda small I think and I do not know about bouys and such. Ironwood is the best if you do not own a lot. I ski SkiWest Lake 3 all the time... look for the silver Subaru WRX (I ski SkiWest lake 3, Adobe, Precision, Paradise and sometimes Bannana) See http://virtualglobetrotting.com/map/7270/view/?service=0 Horton Support BallOfSpray by supporting the companies that support BallOfSpray California Ski Ranch ☆ Connelly ☆ Denali ☆ Eden Lake ☆ Goode ☆ HO Syndicate ☆MasterCraft ☆ Masterline ☆ Pentalago ☆ Performance Ski and Surf ☆ Reflex ☆ Radar ☆ Rodics OffCourse ☆ S Lines ☆ Stokes About Horton
kenNJ
I have my boat with me, and would love to find some people to ski the courses at any of the lakes. The $500. monthly fee at Ironwood is a litte steep for me any sujestions? Kenny kenknoll@flybca.org

Director Darwin
$6000/year seems a bit steep for a place like Ironwood but supply and demand dictate pricing. California is not a good example of market pricing.
Administrators Horton Posted August 6, 2008 Administrators Share Posted August 6, 2008 I thing that is a missunderstanding. I thought was a lot less then that.
