mnskier
Hello, I am 20 years old and have skied on my dad's 1987 kidder red line my whole life. I started getting serious about skiing last year, so I decided to upgrade. I just got a 2005 D3 nomad, new, from Wiley's. It was the first ski I have ever purchased, so I didn't know it wasn't going to come with a wing. I live in Minnesota so our season is pretty short, but at the end of last year I was just getting into 36 mph, my best at 34 mph was 28 off. I know some of you prefer to ski without a wing, I suppose I might give that a try, but for those of you that ski with a wing, which do you recommend? Thanks! Director Darwin
First - it should have come w/ a wing. Call Wiley's and ask about it. Or..... Two: Go to www.d3skis.com and order one - I think they are pretty cheapThree: Order a set of wing angle gauges from D3 or Wileys - you really only need 7, 8 and 9 deg. so no need to purchase a whole set. Three: Put it at 7 degrees - screws up (above the blades).
