Been there, done that. That ski was the last ski I rode prior to my 5 year love affair with the Monza.

I skied like crap on the 9500 at the first BD and Eddie Roberts got me a Monza the next day. Thanks Eddie.

I went through a case of JB weld and 1 year of frustration on the 9500

Galaxy,

The slot never worked for me on the Monza. I love the 08 until I get to 38 and then my off side goes to crap after hook up. I think the tweak they did to the ski to make it more offside friendly made it unfriendly for me but everyone else loves it.

I have a line on a couple of skis from SIA. I have not skied for 2 days now and I hope to ski my neighbors 07 tonight or soon. Our weather here is in the tank again. If I am back in the game on the 07, I will pick one up.

lkb,

no 67s at hoskishop, but if anyone is looking for a deal on HO approach, I just got one from them for 109 delivered.

Skiers Pier has some 06 and 07s in 67 for some rock bottom prices.

The Radar is also ging to get a test.

Well I hope you find something you like MS. My favorite (before I really invested any time into the '08) was the 2006.  Most reviews of the slotfin/Monza combination from true shortline skiers is that it comes into the ball fast and they can't get it to shut down and therefore won't turn. I'm not there yet so I can't say.

If I had to say anything about the new layup ('08 versus any other year) I'd say the might have taken out a little of the over all compliance of the ski. It's a little more demanding. For now, I'm still lovin' it.

I rode an 07 last night and had it set up like my old 07. Comming off the 08, it was feeling like a goode in that it was always hunting for an edge. I think the 08 has better stability and tracks better, but with the 07 I could change things quicker if I was in trouble. I think the 08 sets a path and it is a bit more challanging to to change that path without falling. I have a guy that wants to buy my ski, but I dont have a new stick yet.

I have a 2007 67" Monza that I bought from Horton last year.  I talked with you a little bit about getting it set up and ened up tearing my acl and meniscus wakeboarding :(  before I was able to even use it.  I don't think he skied more than a few sets on it, and its only been a wall flower for me (so far).  We just got the boat in last week and i'm ready to get on the water.  I would be interested in working out a trade for your 08 if that is something you're interested in, but don't want to sell it out right (cause I need a stick).  I think I have your email address.  I'll send this information to you as well.  Thanks

I am a Radar guy until somthing else grabs me. I tried to ski my Monza on Monday and I could not turn 1/3/5 without falling. It is now time for some serious fin tweaking and testing to dial in the RS1. I think I just need to get a bunch of sets in on the ski.
