Baller scoke Posted May 6, 2008 Baller Share Posted May 6, 2008 Currently riding the overpriced Powershells (as much as i love them!). I am putting together a PS equivalent. Currently i have two front boots and the plate itself. Any recommendations on where or what boot to buy as my rear boot? I am not looking for a double super carbon overlaid boot but just more of a standar rear boot. I have two boots for front of varying stiffness but the rear would seem to be not as critical. What are you guys using/building? It has to be relatively affordable. (Can't be an animal or something like that, has to be hardshell). scoke.

lkb
I just put a reflex shell on the front of my plate. The goode shell was too flimsy for me plus it was cracking a lot. It also allowed more forward flex than I want but I left the rear shell alone. Like you said it doesn't matter as much back there.

Chuck_Dickey
Roller Derby roller blades are a great hard shell and very inexpensive. Check your local sporting goods store. $50.00 for a pair. I think Bruce Butterfield buys the black Malibu GT's. Just drill out the rivits holding the skates to the boot.http://www.skates.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=I-257 http://www.skates.com/v/vspfiles/photos/I-257-2T.jpg http://www.skates.com/Roller-Derby-Odyssey-p/i-243.htm http://www.skates.com/v/vspfiles/photos/I-243-2T.jpg
Administrators Horton Posted May 13, 2008 Administrators Share Posted May 13, 2008 that is what I tried to use when I was trying to start shell product. DO NOT USE with the Reflex style release! Other wise they are great.
