Ok I hear that. I rode a SS most of last year and really like it.

It is smooth, consistent and forgiving. Its “real speed” is as good as anything out there. It does not “feel” as fast as the Fisher or the Goode but it really gets out wide of the ball. It is stable all day long. It will turn on a dime if you really get on the nose but it generally is more of a carving ski. I left the SS for the MPD because even though the MPD might be less forgiving, when I am on my game I round more balls on the MPD. Where I can not ski easy on the MPD, I can ski very relaxed on the SS. My average score is highest on the SS.

That said, I keep my SS around for a sanity check. It is my yardstick for all other skis. Kind of like an old girlfriend who will always take me back.
