Administrators Horton Posted August 9, 2007 Administrators Share Posted August 9, 2007 Most of you have never heard of John Kell. John was an Englishman by birth and a water skier by passion. John was one of the usual suspects that skied at Horton Lakes in the 1970s. He was the R&D and composites guy for Taperflex skis. He lived a very full life. Some times he made the ladies blush with his behavior and sometimes he slipped a pre-teenage boy a beer when no one was watching. John was one of many of my father’s friends who were like Uncles to me. I have only seen John a few times in the last few years but he always brought a smile to my face.  Today on the gas dock at Canyon Lake, John had a fatal heart attack. He will be missed by many.
