Santa Rosa, CA, March 24, 2014 – Newly sponsored Liquid Image waterskier, Brian Detrick, finished 3rd at the Moomba Masters event in the Open Men’s Slalom with an overall score of 1147.06, missing the 2nd place podium by just a few points.
The event took place on March 7th – 10th on the Yarra River in Melbourne, Australia. Over 200,000 waterski and wakeboard fans attended to watch professional athletes from over 15 countries compete in Slalom, Tricks, Jump and Wakeboard. Just a week prior to this event, Detrick competed in the Australian Open ProAm at Stoney Park in Telegraph Point, Australia, where he finished in a four way tie for 1st place. After a close run off, Detrick took home silver.
“This was a big two weeks for me, not only running 39 off for the first time in a Pro Tour event, but also making the podium in both events. My 2nd and 3rd place finishes in Australia are my best results in pro events and I am very proud of myself,” said Detrick. “I have put in a lot of hard work and training time this year and it feels amazing to see those results pay off.”

Brian Detrick signed with Liquid Image in February of this year and has been featured on Sacramento's Fox 40 News Station. Following his accomplishments in the Australian Open and Moomba Masters events, Detrick is ranked No. 8 in the world on the Elite Men Slalom Ranking List by the International Waterski & Wakeboard Federation.
Liquid Image is proud to partner with Detrick for the 2014 season and is excited to watch him grow in the sport. Check out Detrick's website to follow his upcoming competitions and accomplishments.

The All New Wakeye App - Automatically records Video of Skiing Using GPS
After only one year in the market place where Wakeye has delivered a premium camera mount specifically designed for skiers and wake boarders.

They have now have added a iPhone and iPad app specifically for water skiing.
The Wakeye app has evolved from feedback from their Wakeye customers - coaches, skiers and boat users.
High quality video does require large amounts of storage space, and then the boat crew forgets to push the record button or worse, records wasted footage of the skier getting ready or sitting at the water at the end of each pass.
Wakeye has developed a powerful water ski app designed to automatically capture every moment on the water and nothing else.
Simply set your speed and your iPhone or iPad will start video recording when your boat reaches the set speed via GPS. When you slow down or stop, it will stop (available in the app store).
Easy access zoom controls let you bring the skier right into the frame
And with a simple to use Playback Mode, you can delete, playback or save into your library for you to edit or share later on, its that simple.
Designed to be used with the Wakeye iPhone and iPad mounts, to create the complete video package for water skiing and wakeboarding (www.wakeye.com).
