    What better way to prove that it is possible than to start in one of the most complicated disciplines: water skiing. Complicated because multiple parameters are to be considered: 1 boat, 1 boat pilot, 1 rope, 1 ski, 1 skier, water.

    =================================
    CKP Engineering, a specialist in data acquisition and analysis, has developed a completely waterproof housing consisting of a GPS, various sensors located on the ski, boat, mast and rope.

    COMPARE, which one could describe as an indicator and performance manager, is able to measure in real time the displacement of water skiing in a precise way, how it works, the strength and acceleration of the skier (which goes from 110-120 km/h in wave passage to 30-40 km/h at the buoy), the angle of the ski in relation to the boat (which, on the other hand, evolves at the constant speed of 55km/h, with a rope located, as part of the tests, at 10m75 of the boat).

    =================================
    For 2 years now, CKP Engineering has been working with the European champion in the slalom category, Jean-Baptiste Faisy, on the man/material couple. After the R&D period, the technology devised by the engineers of the SME’s design office is well approved, thanks to the combination of the knowledge and expertise of each party who knows its business rules.

    Whether the athlete is a beginner, a high-level athlete, whether he practices through an individual coach or in a school, COMPARE adapts to each individual’s needs.

    =================================
    Anything is possible! Indeed, CKP Engineering is not new in the field of data. In your opinion, what is the common point between a Leclerc tank from Nexter, the Peugeot 3008 DKR from the Dakar, a hydrogen plane, a Decathlon bike and a water ski? All use technologies and products developed by CKP Engineering.

    The SME’s ability to adapt regardless of the sector or activity is therefore no longer to be proven.

    =================================
    100% of projects are carried out in-house. The SME has a design office, an electronics and data acquisition department, simulation experts, so there is no limit.

    We could very well imagine continuing in water sports, snowshoeing, artistic, cycling, golf, or athletics with the Javelot throw, said Eric Mommey, the head of the data acquisition department.

    With #Paris2024 we are still in the timing to try to participate in this challenge!
