From the minute we started the conversation, it was evident that Corey Vaughn is a philosopher. He also calls himself the “hippie husband” of his wife Amelia. It was almost surreal to reconcile the deep thinking man I was speaking to with the fact that he’s one of the best in the extremely intense sport of water skiing. And he is a really, really good water skier. He’s one of only a handful of skiers to have run all 6 buoys in the most difficult (41 off) pass, and he’s been on the podium in countless tournaments from Nationals to Pro Tour events. He knows a thing or two about performance under pressure and after learning that you can get burned out even when working on a passion, he’s pretty darn good at balancing his life. In this episode, he shares his practices on dealing with pressure, working through self-doubt and what it takes to keep showing up.
USA-WSWS Members,I hope everyone has been staying healthy and safe during these unprecedented times. As our communities begin to re-open and get back to some sense of normalcy, USA-WSWS has been working diligently with the USOPC and our Sports Disciplines to create “return to play” guidelines for our sport.First and foremost, the health and safety of our members is our top priority. Our return to play guidelines is meant to provide athletes, coaches and event organizers with best practices and recommendations regarding return to safe water ski activity.Individual water ski activity is considered low risk for COVID-19 transmission; however, the circumstances around COVID-19 are changing constantly.
Beginning on May 18, 2020, USA-WSWS will resume sanctioned activity for practices, exhibitions, basic skills clinics, and tournaments. It is the responsibility of each club and/or LOC to abide by all public health authorities and local and state government guidelines when determining to host an event in their respective geographic area.
High risk individuals, including older adults and people with pre-existing medical conditions (such as asthma, diabetes, heart disease) appear to be more vulnerable to becoming severely ill with the virus and are recommended to avoid sanctioned activity involving groups at this time.

In addition, each Sport Discipline will work with USA-WSWS to create additional best practices for their event organizers (e.g. AWSA recommendations for tournament hosts and NSSA Scenarios and FAQ).
We hope to see everyone back on the water soon. #WeAreWaterSkiThanks,
The 2020 MasterCraft Night Jam has been cancelled for this year due to the impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic. With plans to hold the event at Bennett’s Ski School in Zachary, Louisiana, on June 6th, we are unfortunately unable to move forward with the event at the level athletes, spectators, judges and fans expect from MasterCraft — and we expect from ourselves.
We believe in the power of the motivated and self-driven athlete. We believe, with the right information and support, those athletes can and will find a way. We believe all the best resources should exist in one place, for anyone who chooses to take the leap toward success.
We believed in it, so we built it: A program that gives you the best chance for success on the water....and we call it the FlowPoint Method.
The FlowPoint Method will give you the tools to train, perform and stay healthy so that you can keep learning, improving and skiing for years to come.
As a pro skier and fitness/nutrition expert, we have put our years of experiences, mistakes and successes together to develop an all-encompassing ski program. We believe this program will not only help you enhance your skiing, but also your health and hopefully, as a result, your life. As we have traveled the world coaching, we have seen a lot of great things that skiers are doing… and well… some not-so-great things. We have used this knowledge to create a holistic program that gives you, the dedicated skier, a plug and play roadmap for success.
The FlowPoint Method isn’t a one and done program. It isn’t a quick fix. It is a cutting edge and evolving approach to skiing that offers all the very best information currently available today, in one location. No more scouring the internet, navigating half-assed YouTube videos or visiting endless forums. This is your one-stop shop for all the very best tools you need, to be the best skier you can be.
