USA Water Ski GrassRoots National Championships

USA Water Ski is pleased to announce that it will hold the inaugural USA Water Ski GrassRoots National Championships on Saturday, Sept. 18 at Lake Grew in Polk City, Fla. Lake Grew, a world-record capability water ski venue, is adjacent to the American Water Ski Educational Foundation’s Water Ski Hall of Fame and USA W...ater Ski headquarters. Any water ski (slalom and tricks) athlete or barefoot (slalom and tricks) water ski athlete who has participated in a GrassRoots Series event in 2010 is eligible to compete in the event. A GrassRoots Fun Day – in which participants will have the opportunity to ski with a professional water ski athlete – will be held at the same site on Sunday, Sept. 19.

 America’s Premier Pro Night Jump Water Ski Competition, King Of Darkness  2010, hits Southeast Michigan July 17, 2010 Participants will compete for $20,000 in prize money.

Professional water ski jumpers from around the world will take to the water to qualify for a chance to win $20,000 in prize money.

The inaugural year for this event will bring the top ten jumpers from around the world to Groveland Oaks County Park for a jump event like none other.  Skiers will be flying more than 230 feet through the air at speeds exceeding 75 MPH, all under the lights in a high-energy format.

School of thrills on water skis - OZ

TWO up-and-coming Territory waterskiers were given the royal treatment recently when the NT Waterski Association played host to the Australian Junior Elite school at the Lakes Resort in Berry Springs.

The event drew around 30 junior slalom and trick skiers from around the country to the Territory.

Two of Australia's top coaches, World Champion Ryan Green and Bruce Cockburn ran sessions over a two week period.
